IMHO, inaugural events are always risky because the event kinks may or may not be worked out; sponsors may or may not come on board, etc.  On the extreme end of things, I have seen advertising for inaugural events which just never materialized.

One of my friends told me she was going to sign up for the 2012 Inaugural Hollywood Half Marathon.  I am a bit more cautious and will take a wait and see on it.  Currently, I am just putting this out there, so you may want to keep an eye on it.

Please click here for the event's website.

Good luck!!!

  2. Oh and the course has a downhill in the beginning and a moderate climb before it flattens out at the finish. The maps have been uploaded to the site.
